Newcomers to the Plasma Cloud family
Ladies and gentlemen, today we bring you another great news! Plasma Cloud is proud to finally introduce its new Wi-Fi Access Point offering, another important milestone in its long-term plan to provide a complete replacement of the Open Mesh product line from hardware to cloud.
Two new access points are now available for testing, ready to replace the Open Mesh A42 and A62 models in your product offering. We are pleased to present the PA1200 and PA2200, your new trusted dual-band and tri-band access points.
Access points: PA1200 and PA2200
The PA1200 is a powerful access point that broadcasts simultaneously on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. It is intended to fill the gap left by the Open Mesh A42 and comes with an outdoor ready housing, IP55 certified (weather resistant).
The more expensive PA2200 (the most powerful access point in our range) is meant to take over the place left by the Open Mesh A62. It comes with a 2.4 GHz radio and two 5 GHz radios that together ensure optimal spectrum utilization and faster throughput for your customers.
But the good news doesn’t end here. In fact, we have a third access point model coming out soon to replace the Open Mesh OM2P: the PA300. The PA300 is a real improvement over the well-known OM2P as it is a 2.4 GHz dual stream (which leads to a higher throughput) and comes in the same housing as the PA1200. This makes the PA300 also suitable for outdoor use without having to buy a housing separately. In addition, this model will also be produced with two external antennas that can be replaced with an external dual stream antenna of your choice (point-to-point / sector / etc), increasing the throughput achieved.
All of our models are certified for USA / Canada / Europe / Australia, support 802.af/802.3at PoE, and offer the various mounts loved by Open Mesh customers. Here’s a glimpse of their specifications:
