31-12-2023 Last call for Open Mesh migrations!
Are you still using Open Mesh devices on Cloudtrax? Datto announced the end of support for the Open Mesh product line in December 2021. The hardware is struggling to keep up with the latest Wi-Fi advancements.
Plasma Cloud announced their End-of-Support for the Open Mesh hardware earlier this year and that final date will be upon us very shortly. After 31st December 2023 you will no longer be able to migrate any Open Mesh hardware into the Plasma Cloud ecosystem.
The official support of open-mesh hardware running on plasma-cloud will end on December 31, 2023, but this open-mesh hardware will continue to run within plasma-cloud after this date. However, no new firmware will be made for the open-mesh hardware anymore. The last firmware version for open-mesh equipment will therefore remain at v3.6.
The plasma-cloud v4 firmware version also contains changes that can no longer run on the older open-mesh hardware. The own plasma cloud hardware is suitable for the v4 firmware version.
It is important to realize that after December 31, 2023, you will no longer be able to migrate Open-Mesh hardware to the Plasma Cloud ecosystem.
